As piano accompanist and bandleader for newchoir, he continues to shape the choral landscape while maintaining an active teaching studio in piano, voice, composition, and saxophone.

Beyond the concert hall, Michael's artistry extends to film scoring, including his work as a TIFF New Wave Festival finalist in 2023, and performing as pianist for The Roast Chicken Ramblers vintage blues and jazz band at Toronto's celebrated venues, including The Cameron House, Horseshoe Tavern, The Emmet Ray Whisky Jazz Bar, and Grossman's Tavern. Comfortable in a variety of musical styles, he embraces the challenge of harnessing the nuances that define different musical idioms, bringing this versatility to every project he undertakes.
